Do You Feel by The Rocket Summer
This song has been one that I’ve listened to non-stop for the past several months. The words ring so true of myself, and I’m sure many of you can relate as well. As I listened to the words for the hundredth time I couldn’t stop thinking of all the opportunities that I’ve missed because I’ve been obessessing over “my own things.” How many times have a walked by one of God’s children that needed my help, but I was too involved in my own problems so I just kept walking? It really makes my stomach hurt just thinking of these times in the last year, let alone my whole life. I don’t know what you’ll get from this song, but for me it’s a constant reminder. A reminder that I’m put here not for myself, but for the world. This year I want to make a promise to myself that I live this next year for the world, not for Kelsey. And I invite you to do the same. I know it won’t always be easy, but that’s part of the challenge, right? If it were easy we’d all be doing it without much effort. So I ask that you rewatch the video and really listen to the words.
